At the premises of Aedas architects in Singapore, Soft Cells panels installed on walls and ceilings enhance the acoustic comfort and aesthetic quality of the Interior and Architects’ offices. They support the design concept, which delivers a homely, hotel-like ambience that facilitates discreet conversations.
Soft Cells panels and Kvadrat textiles feature in all the public areas. Tracks are specified on the walls of the offices while Broadline panels are installed on the ceilings.
The Broadline panels are fitted with curved corners at each ceiling opening. To ensure seamless curvature and optimal integration of building services, they were installed in close consultation with the General Contractor.
Aedas worked closely with Kvadrat and Multiline, the lighting supplier, to create custom integrated panels for most of the ceilings in the reception and meeting rooms. The collaboration also focused on ensuring that the hanging lights and panels could be precisely adjusted to the final ceiling level with equal spacing between the panels.
Steven Shaw, Executive Principal, Aedas:” We chose to work with Kvadrat for our own office because of the success we have had with their products and their team on past projects. It was a natural decision. To achieve our design goal and flawless installation required close collaboration with the Kvadrat team, including the Kvadrat factory. The use of Soft Cells panels allowed us to achieve excellent acoustical performance, as well as the precision integration of lighting and services.”
