Arthur Cox is one of the leading law firms in Ireland. The company's headquarters, which is designed by Scott Tallon Walker architects, is situated in Dublin.
The building was created using three-dimensional BIM technology, following extensive international benchmarking. It realises the architects' goals, notably to achieve LEED Platinum status and an exceptionally sustainable, eco-aware working environment.
At the new headquarters, seven floors are above ground while there are two basement levels. The floor plan is arranged around an atrium that opens to one side. This, together with gravity defying cantilever staircases, visually and physically connects the Arthur Cox staff.
The project has been nominated at the Fit-Out Awards 2017 for: Fit-Out Client of the Year, Fit-Out Project of the Year, Large Office and Fit-Out Project of the Year and Office New Build.
Soft Cells panels are used throughout the offices. They are installed on walls and ceilings in meeting rooms as well as on walls in the entrance lobby and the client floor reception area.
"The solution from Kvadrat Soft Cells ticked all the boxes. Sophisticated and elegant, the Soft Cells panels enhance rooms by bringing in a layer of colour and texture, as well as helping to optimise the acoustics. Soft Cells panels are precisely detailed and the contractors found them very easy to install. The finished result is very immediate and clean. We love it and so does our client," Deirdre Whelan, Associate.
